Overview ABOUT THE POSITION VHB is seeking an entry level Structural Designer to join the established and growing Structures group in our Winooski, VT office. Responsibilities Perform design and detailing of a range of bridge types Perform inspections and load rating of vehicle, pedestrian, and railroad bridges Perform bridge scoping studies and alternatives analyses Utilize Bentley OpenBridge and OpenRoads software to prepare 3D designs for projects Calculate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates Develop construction contract documents and specifications Skills and Abilities Perform design and detailing of a range of bridge types Perform inspections and load rating of vehicle, pedestrian, and railroad bridges Perform bridge scoping studies and alternatives analyses Utilize Bentley OpenBridge and OpenRoads software to prepare 3D designs for projects Calculate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates Develop construction contract documents and specifications Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering 0-1 years of structural engineering experience Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Vermont is $72,000-75,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
