What are we looking for? The Technician I is responsible for supporting engineers for testing and equipment/lab maintenance. This position will travel at least 25% of the time. What you’ll do: * Set up tests, test equipment and test apparatus. * Prepare test samples. * Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations. * Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude * Diligent safety practices, have knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management * Work closely with engineers and take directions to complete projects within certain policies and procedures * Daily cleanup and maintenance of labs, testing equipment, samples, and organize all tools and materials * Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety. * Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. * Obtaining and recording test data in accordance with standards * Performing basic analysis of test data and routine calculations * Perform other work as required. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Entry level – no experience required * Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook * Model Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right way * Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work * Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines * Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools * Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner * Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions * Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management * Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats * Must be customer focused and quality driven * Ability to lift up to 50lbs. * Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record * Ability to travel, up to 25% Preferred Requirements & Qualifications: * Trade school certification or associate’s degree in technical field * 1+ year of relatable experience * NRTL safety certification experience * Experience with PCB soldering, electrical wiring and/or plumbing/HVAC system Intertek: Total Quality. Responsibilities

The Technician I supports engineers by setting up tests, preparing samples, and performing basic data analysis. They are also responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanup of laboratories and technical equipment.
