Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES) High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three months automotive industry work experience Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Must be able to wear required uniform and required safety equipment (both provided by the company). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Post-secondary certificate Ability to repair machines or systems using the needed tools. Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it. Control operations of equipment or systems. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Maintain a clean and tidy work station as well as maintain the general shop area. Maintain a professional appearance.
