Boeing Missile and Weapons System division, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Sustainment Programs is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Test & Evaluation Engineer to support Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) Radiation Labs in Ogden, Utah.
This program is tasked with testing, operating, and maintaining test stand and support equipment, design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements, and upgrades of a variety of test stands and methods including hardness status, data acquisition, analysis, and performance of hardened components.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Understanding of Electrical Engineering Concepts
  • Familiarity with Integrated Circuit (IC) Electrical Parameter Test Stands
  • Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and milling software
  • Understanding of capabilities and constraints of testing in transient and total ionized dose radiation environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Familiarity with Minuteman-III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Radiation Test Environments
  • Familiarity with National Instruments LabVIEW Software
  • Understanding of basics of analog circuit design
  • Understanding of basics of digital circuit design
  • Experience following engineering processes
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
    This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities
  • General ability to work with a team to conduct a test, monitor progress of the test, and record test activities while being able to accommodate, troubleshoot, and/or maintain any unforeseen events that occur during the test.
  • General knowledge in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test equipment.
  • General knowledge across a wide range of radiation effects and electronic, electrical, and/or software engineering disciplines (e.g. analog and digital circuit design, electromagnetic interference (EMI), pulsed power, embedded software and microprocessor-based system designs).
  • Supports development of test debrief material.
  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data.
  • Collects the data and provides recommendation to break and/or alter configuration.
  • Conducts reallocation, disposition or refurbishment of test articles and assets.
  • Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software as specified by the Statement of Work and uses analytical tools to verify the design.
  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
  • Generates simple test plans
  • Interfaces with internal contacts, decomposes information from requirements and Statements of Work to formulate basic test approaches.
  • Reviews standards and regulations to assess the impact on the test plan.
  • Prepares test configuration work instructions and detailed change orders.
  • Coordinates the staging of test hardware.
  • Participates in test readiness reviews, safety reviews and data/control systems checkout to minimize risk.
  • Performs calibrations and system check-out/validation to satisfy test requirements. Configures software for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Prepares daily execution plans for effective use of all test resources.
  • General knowledge of test stand configuration control procedure required to prepare for a given test. This requires the use of configuration control management process to track and maintain test stand configuration. General ability to configure the test stand using test requirements gathered from test plans, government regulations, and safety rules.
