Position summary: Responsible for engineering traffic studies using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.  Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Perform field observation and collect traffic data. * Learn and become proficient in performing traffic analysis utilizing traffic software such as HCS and Synchro * Conduct safety evaluations and crash assessments. * Develop solutions to mitigate traffic deficiencies * Assist in the preparation of conceptual layouts depicting recommended improvements * Prepare technical memorandums and reports associated with large and medium scale traffic studies * Learn traffic control devices design that include signing, markings, signals, lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) using CAD software * Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality * Strong technical writing and analytical skills Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities * Perform other related duties as assigned
