Overview ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s Bedford, NH office is looking for an Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic Operations group. The selected candidate will work with a team of transportation planners and engineers on a variety of public, private and institutional projects within broad cross-section of markets, including municipal, state agencies, and higher education. Responsibilities Working within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects Traffic impact studies Developing sign, pavement marking, and traffic signal design plans in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Developing traffic signal timing plans Preparing written documents, summarizing data and analysis, and assembling reports to convey findings and recommendations Collecting and tabulating traffic data Performing intersection and corridor operational analyses using Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, Vissim, and other analysis tools Analyzing, developing, and evaluating of traffic improvements Performing field equipment testing, utility, and infrastructure verification (i.e., taking measurements and pictures at field sites) Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal, written and, interpersonal communication skills Detail Oriented Self-motivated Ability to learn, think critically, and develop new skills Strong computer skills Excel in working in a team environment Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus Experience with Synchro, Vissim, and/or HCS a plus We are VHB!
