We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative Entry-Level Underwriter to support our Implementation and Sales teams. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment at the intersection of insurance and technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and technology platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Previous internship or experience in insurance, finance, or SaaS is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in underwriting insurance applications by analyzing risk information, verifying data accuracy, and applying underwriting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Implementation team to onboard new clients, configure underwriting rules, and ensure successful product setup.
  • Partner with the Sales team to evaluate incoming opportunities, provide preliminary risk assessments, and support quoting processes.
  • Conduct research and gather market data to support product positioning and client proposals.
  • Review submissions for completeness and follow up with brokers or clients for missing information.
  • Help maintain documentation of underwriting guidelines, decision logic, and process workflows.
  • Participate in internal meetings and cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and user experience.
  • Utilize internal platforms, CRM tools, and underwriting systems to log activities and manage workflows.
