Description

An international automotive parts manufacturing company in the Bowling Green, KY area is searching for a Entry Production Engineer to join their facility. This is a full-time, direct hire position, and there are multiple openings available.

ENTRY PRODUCTION ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Internship experience in a process engineering and / or controls engineering field
  • Basic knowledge in PLC is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership, time management, and multitasking skills, and positive mindset in a multicultural team environment
  • Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the current production system and plan Kaizen / improvement solutions
  • Implement solutions to improve stamping and welding production efficiency
  • Communicate thoroughly with other department in order to improve efficiency and solve any production / quality issues
  • Test new equipment and analyze the efficiency, assist new equipment installation, and perform robot programming if necessary
  • Work closely with Maintenance team to ensure accordance to maintenance schedules
  • Ensure daily production meets goals and company standard policy
  • Other duties as assigned
