Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

  • Durchführung von FEM-Simulationen zur Analyse von Eigenfrequenzen, statischen Verformungen und thermischen Effekten
  • Entwicklung innovativer Konzepte und Konstruktionen für mechanische Bauteile und Baugruppen auf Basis technischer Anforderungen
  • Erstellung technischer Dokumentationen und Präsentationen unter Berücksichtigung von DFX-Prinzipien (Design for Excellence)
  • Aufbau und Pflege von 3D-CAD-Modellen und technischen Zeichnungen mit Creo und/oder SolidWorks
  • Auswahl geeigneter Werkstoffe sowie Definition von Oberflächenbehandlungsprozessen
  • Festlegung von Prüfkriterien für Wareneingangskontrollen und Unterstützung der Qualitätssicherung
  • Erstellung und Pflege von Stücklisten (BOMs)
  • Zusammenarbeit mit Lieferanten zur Einholung von Angeboten und zur Abstimmung technischer Spezifikationen, Kosten und Lieferzeiten
  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen und interdisziplinären Teams zur erfolgreichen Umsetzung von Projekten

Minimum Qualifications

  • Abgeschlossenes Masterstudium im Bereich Maschinenbau, Feinwerktechnik, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Physikalische Technik oder Physik mit Schwerpunkt Strömungsmechanik
  • Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der mechanischen oder feinwerktechnischen Entwicklung, idealerweise mit Kenntnissen in der Optomechanik
  • Praktische Erfahrung in der Metallbearbeitung oder eine handwerkliche Ausbildung im Metallbereich von Vorteil
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse in 3D-CAD-Systemen (Creo und/oder SolidWorks) sowie in PDM-Systemen (z. B. Intralink, SolidWorks PDM)
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in Struktur-, Thermo- und Strömungssimulationen mit Tools wie ANSYS, COMSOL oder Creo Simulation
  • Gute Beherrschung von FEM- und FVM-Methoden
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Teamfähigkeit und Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Teams
