Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, solution presentations, and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption, infrastructure optimization, and data management best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability building.
AWS Infrastructure Design & Management
- Architect and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective AWS environments.
- Manage core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and VPC.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive improvements.
Advanced Data Management
- Design and manage data workflows including ingestion, transformation, and movement across environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and validation.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to support ETL pipelines and data lake solutions.
- Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with client and regulatory standards.
Release Management & DevOps
- Define and implement branching strategies and release packaging standards.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar.
- Coordinate deployment activities across environments, ensuring minimal downtime and rollback readiness.
- Maintain version control, release documentation, and deployment logs.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and data operations, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, including solutioning, presentations, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in SQL and data handling across structured and semi-structured formats.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, release packaging, and CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
