This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of the team, where you will support the delivery of a variety of Council services in relation to the management of the natural and built environment.
Reporting directly to the Head of Environment, the role includes assisting delivery of the Council’s Climate Change Action Plan and work towards net-zero, supporting the Isles of Scilly National Landscape assisting with Local Nature Recovery and providing wider day to day assistance to the Council’s Operational Services Team, which includes supporting the management of the Council’s Open Spaces, Highways and Waste & Recycling Services.
You will be a front-line contact for the Environment Service: supporting customers, external partners & organisations and providing day to day administrative and financial support across the team.
This role will suit someone who has previous administration experience and is looking for a career in local government, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready for a new challenge. Training opportunities are available, and the post holder will gain an understanding of how the Council delivers a broad range of services to the islands.
This a full time, permanent position based on 37 hours a week.
