The purpose of the post is to provide environmental support to site to promote and document compliance with environmental legislation and adherence to the environmental safety strategy. The job holder is responsible for delivering environmental advice on compliance requirements and the site’s environmental safety strategy and preparing documentation for site and projects.

APTITUDES AND EXPERIENCE

• HND or equivalent qualification plus experience
• Convey oral and written environmental information in a clear and concise manner and be able to think critically and collate and analyse data
• Be effective at prioritising and organising workload and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Be motivated and a self-starter who has a passion for the environment and environmental studies and work well within a team

37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non-working day.
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays

The job holder will undertake the site environmental advisor training scheme to become an environmental advisor.

This will include:

• On the job learning alongside training, coaching and mentoring
• Support and collaborate with senior members of the environment team
• Assist with management system document development, reviews and updates to ensure it continues to meet the requirements of ISO:14001
• Support the production of best practical means (BPM) documents, environmental aspects assessments and environmental advice notes
