ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR

Georgiou, in joint venture with BMD Group, is delivering the Centenary Bridge Upgrade project in Jindalee, Queensland for repeat client, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
As part of a growing team with a commitment to excellence, you will be provided with challenging work on a wide range of engineering and civil infrastructure projects as an Environmental Advisor.

Responsibilities

This role will be key in ensuring onsite implementation of the environmental management system requirements, promoting environmental awareness and driving high performance on the project. It will require you to provide technical support on significant environmental aspects, manage multiple environmental consultants, and liaise with the client and relevant stakeholders. Your duties involve:

  • Developing, maintaining and ongoing supporting the Environment and/or Sustainability Management plan, processes and system elements
  • Providing advice on environmental aspects such as contamination, erosion and sediment control, heritage, ecology, waste management, noise and vibration
  • Applying for and managing any required environmental permits and approvals, providing the project team with awareness of legal compliance requirements
  • Recording all relevant environmental data and compile reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring that the project complies with Georgiou HSEQ systems, policies, standards, and procedures
