SMG is seeking an Environmental Advisor - Owner's Rep in Lebanon, Indiana. The Environmental Advisor is responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope. Overview of Job Responsibilities Provide environmental oversight of construction activities on a 200-acre site Support client, contractors, and sub-contractors with environmental compliance across varying regulatory programs, including but not limited to: IDEM NPDES, Stormwater, RCRA, Air, and SPCC Conduct site-wide assessments to ensure permit compliance and identify areas of concern Develop environmental plans for construction activities for implementing, tracking, and documenting varying permit requirements Develop and maintain all necessary environmental documents and records Work closely with on-site contractors to ensure proper understanding of issued permit thresholds and operating parameters Develop and administer training materials as needed to on-site personnel/contractors Provide support during environmental compliance reviews, internal audits, agency, or regulatory site inspections Requirements Minimum of five years of environmental experience Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Environmental Science or related field Previous experience working on construction projects Must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studies Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve Have excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative Physical Demands of the job may include Moving about long distances Ascending/descending stairs and ladders Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period Working in extreme weather Being exposed to loud noises Wearing personal protective gear correctly Join an elite group of Professionals!
