Job Description Position Summary The Environmental Advisor will act as an important support for the wider VPR performance team, using expertise to improve and enhance business activities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Initiating and preparing permit applications, including environmental studies Advising business development and engineering on regulatory and permitting feasibility Preparing for and overseeing environmental inspections and external environmental audits Developing and maintaining the environmental management system Maintaining and updating knowledge of environmental regulations Understanding of legislation and regulations regarding CO2 emissions trading, emission requirements, and air emissions monitoring Coordination of emission monitoring and reporting Monitoring compliance with permits and initiating corrective actions when necessary Understanding of substances of very high concern (ZZS) and calculating and controlling emissions of these substances Drafting the annual environmental report (e-MJV) and providing support in implementing ARIE obligations, Participating in Management of Change (MOC) processes, particularly regarding environmental aspects Participation in HAZOP or other risk assessments Qualifications Qualifications and Experience Minimum Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental technology, chemical engineering, sustainable energy technology or equivalent 2 – 5 years of relevant working experience Enjoys working in a dynamic environment Proficient in both Dutch and English Additional Information Directly contribute to a wide variety of projects Be part of a small and flat organization with lots of creative freedom Free in-house lunch, freshly prepared and catered daily Competitive compensation and benefits package
