We have a current need for an experienced Air Quality Consultant to join our Victorian team based out of our central Melbourne office.   As an Air Quality Consultant you’ll: * Undertake technical studies including:   * Preparation of air quality, GHG and odour emission inventories  * Analysis of technical data associated with air quality, GHG and odour assessments  * Meteorological analysis and data preparation for air quality and odour dispersion modelling  * Preparation of technical reports and air quality and greenhouse gas components of environmental impact assessments  * Undertake laboratory and field work including:  * Becoming proficient in WSP’s NATA-accredited air quality and odour sampling and analysis techniques  * Emissions measurement and source testing  * Air quality and meteorological monitoring * Laboratory analysis of air quality and odour field samples   * Preparation of NATA-accredited sampling and analysis reports  * Assist in the preparation of expert advice presented during stakeholder and regulator engagement activities related to air quality, GHGs, and odour.  * Prepare technical proposals and cost estimates to complete air quality and related projects of low to moderate complexity.  * Assist with the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for large projects and/or projects of moderate to high complexity  * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders while serving as Project Manager for air quality and related projects.  * Assist teams in other offices in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia to complete air quality and related projects  * Assist with business development activities regionally within Australia   * Keep up-to-date with developments in your professional area, for example through our internal technical communities or externally through trade organizations such as the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ).     What you’ll bring: * Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil, mechanical or environmental engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, or an environmental science.  * 3 to 5 years’ experience in air quality consulting or a graduate degree in meteorology or air quality.  * Current, clean driver licence (full or restricted preferred).  * Electro-mechanically inclined; e.g., instrument and/or lab-based experience.  * Field-based monitoring and sampling experience in; VOCs, Dust, Particulate Matter and Odour  * Proficient in MS Outlook/Word/Excel ideally with familiarity with Python, R or MATLAB * Willingness to travel as required and work collaboratively in a diverse problem solving focused team   Why WSP?
