Description:
YOUR POSITION
As an Environmental and Social Analyst, you will ensure compliance with environmental and social regulations and international standards in the context of our credit insurance activity.
You will also be involved in Credendo’s corporate sustainability approach and represent the company in international working groups and fora.
Based on your environmental and social expertise, you will contribute to the company’s strategic goals regarding corporate sustainability.
You will report to the Group Chief Compliance and Sustainability Officer and be part of the Compliance and Sustainability department.
- You will screen, analyse, give recommendations and review applications for officially supported export credit transactions and projects regarding their potential environmental and social impact, and benchmark them against international standards, such as those of the OECD and the World Bank Group, in close collaboration with the Underwriting department and our client.
- You will assess the potential risks and impacts related to the environment and to human rights to ensure that the project or transaction is or will be performed according to international standards.
- You will monitor compliance of the projects or transactions accepted for officially supported export credits with the environmental and social requirements, which may include client visits and participation in site visits.
- You will assist in the implementation of environmental and social regulations within the company, such as CSRD, carbon footprint calculations, etc.
- You will actively monitor legislation, participate in international fora and meetings, inform stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal ESG methodologies, processes and assessments within the team.
- You will prepare internal and external communication and draft reports on these matters.
- You will train colleagues within the company and help promote and raise awareness of environmental and social sustainability issues.
- You will keep up to date your knowledge of the regulations on environmental and social aspects.
- You will participate in the training of colleagues within the company on ESG-related topics by developing training material and promoting and raising awareness of environmental and social issues.
