Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE: AREA MANAGER - ENVIRONMENTAL

Based in Brendale, this is a key leadership position where you’ll oversee a team of 11 Brisbane-based environmental professionals. As Area Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving performance, leading people, and delivering high-quality environmental services across major projects in Queensland and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee Area performance across People, Clients, Finance, Quality, HSE, and Operational Excellence KPIs.
  • Manage budgets, productivity, fees, submissions, expenses, cash flow, and business development activities.
  • Develop, implement, and update Area business plans, marketing strategies, and operational plans.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality, technically excellent services.
  • Provide technical leadership across major projects, feasibility studies, and advisory work.
  • Maintain and set technical standards and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead people management, performance management, training programs, succession planning, and resource management.
  • Manage industrial relations and HR matters.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities, develop proposals, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Maintain strong focus on HSE compliance.
  • Monitor and report on business risks, operational performance, and financial outcomes to management.
