QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field is required
  • 5 years of experience as a direct supervisor of personnel
  • 10+ years of environmental compliance experience is required
  • 10+ years of project management experience is required
  • Knowledge of California environmental regulations is required
  • Knowledge of NASA environmental guidelines, systems, and processes is preferred
  • Current HAZWOPER training is required for this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to client sites.
  • Must be detail oriented to properly document all environmental compliance activities occurring across the contract.
    This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.
    This position requires a CAC card, CUI Enclave Access and/or a Security Clearance, a background check will be completed.

Language & Communication Skills:

  • Candidate must be able to speak, read and understand the English language. Accurate report writing is a requirement of this position.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects.
Responsibilities

This position is onsite at ARC and will require daily interaction and communication with NASA personnel.

  • Serve as the on-site leader for a multi-media environmental compliance contract with emphasis on managing hazardous waste, hazardous materials, air quality, stormwater, wastewater, drinking water, storage tank, NEPA, natural resources, and other environmental support services.
  • Coordinate all activities required by the contract; schedule and lead client meetings; and produce contract status reports.
  • Support Tetra Tech’s Project Manager with financial tracking, staff recruitment and training, subcontractor management.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Manage up to seven additional on-site staff with execution of their respective responsibilities.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality on all contract deliverables, as well as maintain local client satisfaction and expectations.
