Overview:
As an Environmental Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring daily compliance for EB-Groton Shipyard’s Water Compliance Program.

This includes duties such as:

  • Monitoring compliance with the facility’s new stormwater permit.
  • Preparation of comprehensive state and federal reports.
  • Detailed review and oversight of recordkeeping requirements.
  • Review of new and proposed shipyard processes and equipment affecting stormwater pollution in addition to a wide variety of other environmental engineering projects.

The candidate must be a self-starter, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be very effective in writing and communicating. Daily interface with Operations, Management, the customer and regulatory personnel is critical to ensuring the success of the compliance program and the effective resolution to problems.
Candidate must be highly motivated, require little supervision, and have a minimum of two years technical experience in environmental engineering preferably in water compliance.
