SUMMARY

The Environmental Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations within a high-volume automotive die casting facility. This role will lead environmental programs related to air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste, stormwater, and pollution prevention, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and sustainability in manufacturing operations.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years of environmental engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in metal casting, die casting, or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations.
  • Experience with air permit compliance, waste management, and wastewater treatment in a foundry or casting environment is highly preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, environmental data management systems, and permit tracking software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Primarily based in a manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, noise, and industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and walk through all areas of the plant.
