Description

In the specific areas of responsibilities noted below, provides support for the on-going compliance with environmental regulations. Ensures that all control, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements related to areas of responsibility are satisfied. Provides support as needed for environmental compliance and permitting projects.

  • Ensures assigned Spill/Upset/Emission Event/Reporting requirements are satisfied in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Ensures assigned federal, state or applicable government reporting obligations (e.g., SARA 313 reports; Emission Inventories; NSPS Reports; MACT Reports; Annual Waste Summary Reports, TCEQ Regulation Reports, etc) are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Ensures operational records necessary to demonstrate compliance with assigned environmental regulations/programs are acquired, recorded, and properly retained.
  • Ensures emission control equipment inspections required by environmental regulations and programs assigned are properly satisfied, recorded, and reported to state, federal, or other government authorities, as applicable.
  • Assists with regulatory permitting tasks, as needed.
  • Ensures on-going compliance with assigned environmental regulations and permits.
  • Generates reports/records to support demonstration of compliance.
  • Communicates effectively with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits is continually achieved.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental regulation and permit tasks assigned.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, or related Science is required.
  • 2 years of environmental engineering, or related refinery engineering experience required.
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero McKee Refinery, required.
