Description

Grid Environment is currently looking for a field environmental technician to work in our Regina, SK office. This position will integrate into a well-developed team of environmental specialists to provide field monitoring services on oil and gas sites. The appropriately qualified candidate will bring both technical and field experience. This full-time permanent role is approx. 90% field based.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Live in Regina area, SK.
  • Diploma or BSc degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemical or similar.
  • Ability and desire to climb and work at heights.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Enthusiastic, positive and highly driven
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Excellence in communication and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making and efficient implementation.
  • At least 1 (one) year field experience.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (e.g., valid work permit, PR card, Canadian citizenship)
Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct fugitive emissions survey on active refineries, chemical plants and upstream oil and gas sites.
- Emission Source Testing
- Environmental Monitoring & Inspection
- Technical reporting
- Support and implement Grids/Clients health and safety programs.
- Analyze data, write technical reports, and provide quality control and assurance and present results to client.
- Experience with multiple field sampling/testing techniques
