Description

We’re currently seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support environmental monitoring and site operations field work primarily in the greater Southwest Virginia and Northwestern North Carolina area. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who has environmental fieldwork, mechanical systems, and site operations experience. Responsibilities: * Perform discharge water sampling and monitoring in accordance with project scopes and regulatory protocols. * Conduct routine site inspections and document site conditions. * Support operation and minor maintenance of on-site pumps and environmental equipment. * Assist with equipment checks, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical upkeep. * Receive and manage material deliveries at project sites. * Perform general site maintenance tasks, including light landscaping and tractor operation. * Maintain detailed and accurate field notes, inspection logs, and sampling records. * Follow GES safety protocols and participate in required safety training. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. * Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on field tasks. * Ability to work independently at remote project sites. * Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to communicate effectively with project teams. * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
