Are you someone who can:

  • To contribute to the approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Keep records of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure your client or employer is compliant with mandatory regulations.
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  • Working with affected stakeholders organise fire drills and ensure the safe installation of equipment.
  • Conducting regular inspections on equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards and potential risk.
  • Assisting and contributing with the development, and maintenance of EHS related documentation
  • Assisting with internal and external EHS audits and inspections.
  • Assisting with vendor compliance pertaining to safety file reviews and approvals, including checking of validity of files
  • Monitoring of vendor / contractor compliance in line with EHS requirements
  • Co-ordination and booking of EHS related training courses and occupational hygiene surveys.
  • Maintaining EHS-related appointments, training records, inspections and fire drills, action tracker, and EHS committee meetings minutes
  • Assist with records keeping in line with EHS records management requirements.
  • Co-ordination of EHS related meetings and matters related to meetings.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Communicating EHS Information to employees and contractors.
  • Loading of EHS related Purchase orders
  • Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Qualification: Certificates in Health and Safety e.g. SAMTRAC, or other EHS related non-university aligned certificates.
  • Required experience: 1 year administration experience, EHS experience advantageous but not compulsory
