We’re seeking a motivated Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our client’s team located in Saint-Éphrem, QC. You’ll play a key role in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental practices within the organization.
The job is located in Quebec and is open to helping workers from New Brunswick relocate if they are suitable for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management and leadership to develop and promote a strong OHS culture. • Ensure the organization’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations (LSST, LATMP, etc.).
  • Develop and implement OHS policies, procedures, and programs (lockout, machine safety, ergonomics, working at heights, etc.) and train staff.
  • Coordinate visits and reports with the CNESST and maintain a positive relationship with inspectors.
  • Provide health and safety training to new employees.
  • Conduct internal audits, monitor corrective actions, and support supervisors in their implementation.
  • Manage the reporting and follow-up of incidents/accidents, ensure the implementation of corrective actions, and produce required reports.
  • Lead the OHS committee, document reports, and monitor actions.
  • Organize and lead annual evacuation drills.
  • Conduct risk analyses for various positions and contribute to staff training. • Collaborate with human resources in managing health and safety claims.
  • Prepare monthly reports for corporate and government agencies.
  • Support the deployment of Lean OHS Management and coach managers in their health and safety practices.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in OHS.
