Description The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist plays a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace within our operations. This position supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Specialist partners closely with management and employees to identify potential hazards, promote safe work practices, and drive a proactive safety culture. This role is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with audits and inspections, and supporting environmental and occupational health initiatives across the facility. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop safety plans and training materials. Conduct safety training and audits Completing regulatory reports Assist in safety incident investigations and corrective actions Update and maintain Safety Data Sheet database Maintain chemical markings and safe storage File and organize historic records and other documents Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel High School Diploma or equivalent Capable of reading and interpreting technical documents such as: Safety Data Sheets, EPA & OSHA Regulations Organized and capable of working independently and with a team. Nice-to-Haves: LOTO training OSHA 30-hour certificate OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification First-Aid / CPR / AED Certified Forklift or aerial-lift operator or trainer OSHA RCRA training or hands on experience Confined space & hot work permit processing
