Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical safety initiatives that support operations efficiently and on schedule
  • Oversee the design and execution of safety programs ensuring safe, compliant, and effective operation of manufacturing systems
  • Administer the Industrial Hygiene (IH) program, including testing, protocol development, and implementation of a risk-based IH strategy
  • Air emissions
  • Stormwater
  • Wastewater
  • Pollution prevention
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Required environmental reporting
  • Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
  • Management of Change (MOC)
  • Mechanical Integrity (MI)
  • Act as the tactical liaison between EH&S and site expansion or construction projects, collaborating with project sponsors and support teams
  • Serve as the EH&S representative supporting the site’s functional business units
  • Continuously enhance the risk assessment process to proactively identify and mitigate enterprise-level risks
  • Lead and participate in investigations, addressing compliance concerns and resolving regulatory questions
  • Support the development and implementation of the site’s EHS Management System
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QC Labs, Chemical Development, Analytical Labs, and Engineering to ensure EH&S compliance at all levels
  • Partner with US EH&S teams to implement global initiatives and align site practices with enterprise standards
  • Serve as an active member of the site’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), responding to emergencies within your level of training (CPR, First Aid, AED, chemical spill response)
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support EH&S and site objectives
