ABOUT THE FREEMAN CORPORATION The Freeman Corporation is a 100+ year family-owned wood veneer manufacturer based in Winchester, KY. We continue to invest heavily to be the supplier of choice to the top producers worldwide of flooring, doors, hardwood plywood, furniture, cabinets, and other industries. We employ approximately 200 people. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an EHS Manager who would responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures at our facility. The core objective is to ensure a safe work environment, achieve compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.), and drive a proactive safety culture across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Establish, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA) * Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all new and existing employees, including both facility-wide training and job-specific training (e.g., new employee on-boarding, Lockout / Tag-out, confined space, fire prevention, fall protection, forklift operation, first aid, etc.) * Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards * Ensure that all employees wear adequate Personal Protective Equipment at all times throughout the facility  * Analyze safety performance to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and report findings to senior management * Manage all regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, air quality reports, etc.) * Manage and lead investigations for all workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence * Coordinate purchasing of first aid supplies, safety supplies, and safety tools * Drive a proactive safety culture through communication, recognition, and continuous improvement * Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, human resources, and finance to improve safety conditions, working conditions, and plant performance in order to make The Freeman Corporation an excellent place to work REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of experience managing an EHS program in an industrial environment * In-depth working knowledge of federal and state OSHA and EPA regulations as well as experience with risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis * Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field * Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency  * Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or other relevant certifications * Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems  COMPENSATION & BENEFITS  * Competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience * Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance * 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and referral program
