Health and Safety Specialist – Memphis Site - Kersia Group (Preserve LLC)
Location: Memphis, TN
Reports To: Plant Manager

Position Overview
The Health and Safety Specialist at the Memphis site is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. This role will lead the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain site-specific health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
· Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
· Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting, documentation, and corrective actions.
· Facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding for new employees.
· Assure The plant is compliant with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies and is audit ready at all times.
· Maintain and analyze safety performance metrics and prepare reports for site leadership.
· Collaborate with site leadership and HR to promote a proactive safety culture.
· Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
· Serve as the primary contact for safety-related matters at the Memphis site.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally in manufacturing or chemical production.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
· Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) are a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
· Ability to manage engineering solutions to address equipment safety improvements
