The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in SeaTac, WA.
This role is also instrumental in maturing a Safety DOJO program for Boeing Global Services, to include establishing and executing on the strategy for a variety of our Boeing Global Services (BGS) businesses, including distribution and field operations, as well as engaging with our customers. The successful candidate will have a mindset that draws on innovation, and proven experience in employee engagement, safety expertise and the aerospace industry, coupled with the ability to manage, organize and execute a corporate level program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
  • 3+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
  • Travel up to 20%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Level 4: 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3: 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience with safety and health audits
  • Experience in risk evaluation, solution development, and implementation
  • Experience in engineering tools and technological innovations
  • Experience with policies and systems

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Reviews Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
  • Maintains and analyzes basic records and provides reports on compliance performance to internal customers
  • Supports internal customers on EHS processes, programs, issues and requirements
  • Conducts injury investigations and root cause analysis
