Description Summary: Support Revere’s safety management system using a BMT (behavioral management techniques) approach. Serve as a resource to operations on all matters pertaining to safety and environmental. Create a presence on the shop floor representing EHS leadership. Identify risks and hazards. Educate and support employees in improving safety in their work area. Duties and Responsibilities: Reinforce safe work practices throughout the facility Actively review and communicate with supervisors regarding open safety issues and actions, and report out on status monthly Assist with new hire training on specific safety responsibilities · Conduct EHS required training Review, discuss and edit assigned safety documents for approval Provide input to leadership in all aspects of risk reduction associated with safety performance. Coordinate with vendor and assess proper PPE compliance to ensure worker safety and regulatory adherence Facilitate incident investigations, assist root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Support emergency preparedness efforts, including drills, response training, and regulatory compliance. Maintain wastewater treatment system to meet facility needs and comply with the regulatory requirements. Manage wastewater/waste sampling and testing program including coordinating work performed by outside laboratory. Monitor process instrumentation (pH, level, flow, etc) including chart recorders. Collect environmental data needed for regulatory compliance and reporting. Inspect/monitor hazardous waste collection and storage area; manage inventory and maintain regulatory records. Help coordinate work performed by Utility personnel in handling facility wastes. On call requirement as needed Requirements Qualifications: 7-10 years EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing setting. High level of safety and environmental compliance knowledge in North Carolina. Strong working knowledge of behavior-based safety concepts and practices. Prior managerial experience in a team based, highly collaborative role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. · RCRA, DOT HazMat, HAZWOPER, OSHA 30 Special Demands: While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near mechanical parts. May be exposed to wet or humid conditions. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May be regularly exposed to high noise environments. May be exposed to extremely dusty environments. Education / Training: Associates degree or equivalent experience Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with Behavior Science and Behavioral Safety.
