Communicate with government agencies (IDEM,EPA) Conduct required environmental inspections, sampling, and monitoring. Prepare and submit required environmental reports, including air emissions inventories, wastewater discharge monitoring reports, storm water reports, hazardous chemical inventories, and Form R reports for the site. Monitor site changes and permit renewals; and implement actions at facilities to maintain compliance with permit, plans, registrations, and regulations. Maintain environmental records and the site’s Environmental Management and Information System (EMIS) Implement site employee environmental training programs. Knowledge of air permit compliance reporting, wastewater permitting and reporting, storm water permitting and compliance, spill prevention, and Tier II and TRI reporting required. Comply with company policies and procedures Additional duties as assigned by management   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE-   Two years of experience in the Occupational Safety field, manufacturing preferred Clear, concise oral and written communication skills BS degree in Occupational Safety/Environmental or related field Experience in the Safety/Environmental field in the paper industry preferred   LANGUAGE SKILLS- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, manuals, regulations, and codes Ability to write business reports and correspondence Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, contractors, employees and outside officials to the company   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS-   Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value.
