Responsibilities

MAKE AN IMPACT WHERE IT MATTERS MOST. STEP INTO A ROLE WHERE YOUR LEADERSHIP IN HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SUSTAINABILITY DIRECTLY SHAPES THE FUTURE OF A GLOBAL INNOVATOR. AT INGREDION, YOU WON’T JUST MANAGE EHSS SYSTEMS—YOU’LL DRIVE MEANINGFUL CHANGE, INFLUENCE STRATEGY, AND HELP CREATE SAFER, MORE SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS THAT TOUCH LIVES AROUND THE WORLD. IF YOU’RE READY TO LEAD WITH PURPOSE AND GROW WITH A COMPANY THAT VALUES YOUR EXPERTISE, THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY.

As the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Manager (EHSS), you will be responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s EHSS systems. Key responsibilities include enhancing reporting mechanisms, ensuring accurate and timely communication of key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving alignment with corporate standards. The position will work closely with the Corporate EHSS team and site-specific leadership to promote operational excellence and elevate performance across all EHSS domains. Through collaboration, data-driven insights, and proactive engagement, this role will help foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices throughout the organization.
This role reports directly to the London Plant Manager and oversees a team of two.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate closely with Plant Management teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHSS) practices across all sites.
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI to streamline data visualization, improve reporting accuracy, and drive performance through actionable insights.
  • Stay ahead of emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and operational risks, proactively advising on potential impacts and mitigation strategies.
  • Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure EHSS programs are clearly understood, embraced, and effectively implemented at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with functional leaders in Operations, HR, Continuous Improvement, and other key areas to integrate EHSS into broader business strategies.
  • Serve as a key liaison between site leadership and the Corporate EHSS team to align goals, share best practices, and elevate performance across all EHSS domains.
