OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Environmental Health Sanitarian to join our environmental health team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to deal with the public and businesses in our community. As an Environmental Health Sanitarian, you will work under the supervision of our Director of Environmental Health, assisting with the Tanning and Body Art Program and property maintenance/nuisance complaints. This position will review and approve Cottage Food applications, perform low risk facility inspections, oversee the Non-Community Well Program, complete landfill inspections weekly and assist in basic office duties.

• Proficiency with technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Associates degree in physical science or a combination of three (3) college credit hours in math and nine (9) college credit hours in physical, chemical or biological science, required
• One (1) to three (3) years of related experience, preferred

  Pay: $17.30 - $18.95 per hour
