SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., MIEMA).
· ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Qualification
· Strong working knowledge of Integrated Management Systems
· Experience with Environmental Management System development & implementation in high-hazard environments.
· Experience implementing and auditing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems in high-hazard environments.
· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
· Willingness to travel and work across a variety of operational environments.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an Environmental Management System (EMS) Specialist to support an Integrated Management System (IMS) alignment project. Working alongside Health & Safety and Quality management specialists, this role will assess the environmental management systems of three ISO 14001-certified companies and provide clear, practical recommendations around future integration feasibility and strategic alignment options within a broader IMS framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct a structured assessment of EMS documentation across three organisations aligned with ISO 14001 clauses.
· Participate in joint site visits to assess the application of EMS processes and how environmental systems operate in practice.
· Contribute to SWOT analyses and integration feasibility assessments.
· Collaborate with H&S and QA specialists to identify IMS synergies.
· Support the development of strategic recommendations in relation to the wider IMS to either integrate, harmonise or maintain systems separately.
· Ensure that recommendations maintain current ISO 14001 certification integrity.
