Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Technician (LDAR) Field-Based Role | Industrial Services Also Known As / Secondary Titles: LDAR Technician, Emissions Monitoring Technician, Environmental Field Technician, Leak Detection Technician, Air Compliance Technician Be the Eyes on Emissions at Critical Industrial Sites PROtect LLC is looking for a skilled LDAR Technician who takes pride in fieldwork, problem-solving, and doing the job right. In this role, you won’t just “run routes”, you’ll play a critical part in helping major industrial facilities stay safe, compliant, and operational. From identifying leaks to working directly with plant teams, your work has real impact every day. What You’ll Do Field Monitoring & Compliance Monitor valves, pumps, and components using EPA Method 21 and site protocols Run assigned routes and ensure all components are completed accurately and on schedule Identify, tag, and track leaks for repair and re-monitoring Maintain precise documentation to support compliance and reporting Equipment & Technical Work Calibrate and troubleshoot handheld analyzers Ensure equipment is functioning at peak performance Support re-monitoring of repaired components Site Communication & Impact Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teams Communicate findings clearly and professionally Identify opportunities to improve compliance and efficiency Safety & Team Contribution Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and respirator use Report incidents and maintain a strong safety-first mindset Support teammates and take on additional responsibilities as needed Work Environment Industrial facilities (refineries, chemical plants, etc.) Outdoor work in all weather conditions Work at heights up to 300 feet Active, hands-on role (climbing, lifting, moving throughout the site) Schedule Typically 4x10s (four 10-hour shifts per week) Schedule may vary depending on site needs What We’re Looking For 6+ months of LDAR or similar industrial/environmental experience Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments Good communication skills—comfortable working with plant teams Basic computer skills (Excel, handheld devices, data entry) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience (Not Required) 2+ years of LDAR experience Experience with TVA 2020 (MIC-6 & manual calibrations) Familiarity with BWON, AVO, QQQ reporting, or OGI/IR camera tech Refinery or chemical plant experience Ability to read P&IDs or understand emissions systems Why PROtect?
