OVERVIEW

The Environmental Monitor plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This position involves conducting field assessments, collecting data, and analyzing environmental impacts related to various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental laws, technical writing skills, and proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS. A commitment to public health and safety, alongside mechanical knowledge and laboratory experience, is essential for success in this role.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) for data mapping and analysis.
  • Strong technical writing skills for report preparation and documentation.
  • Experience in data collection methodologies and analysis techniques.
  • Background in environmental law, OSHA regulations, or EHS practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with water treatment processes, wastewater treatment systems, or oil & gas industry standards is advantageous.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to environmental monitoring equipment is a plus.
  • Previous laboratory experience will be beneficial for conducting analyses. Responsibilities
  • Conduct field assessments to monitor environmental conditions and compliance with regulations.
  • Collect and analyze data related to air, water, soil, and waste management.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation that comply with EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Utilize GIS tools to map environmental data and support research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to wastewater treatment, oil & gas operations, and public health.
  • Stay informed about current environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Perform laboratory analyses as required to support field data collection efforts.
  • Assist in the development of environmental management plans and strategies.
