Our growing environmental planning team is seeking a talented environmental planning consultant to work with our team in Edinburgh. This could be a step-up into a role with more responsibility or the opportunity to change up your current role and work on some fantastic projects across all sectors and consenting strategies within the UK.

In addition to helping solve some of the key challenges around unlocking the delivery of housing and infrastructure projects, you will join us in working on innovative projects in sectors such as renewable energy (solar, battery storage, wind, hydro and energy networks); transport and active travel; master-planning and regeneration; decarbonisation; and water and wastewater infrastructure. You will also be contributing to building the nation’snations’ resilience to climate change and improving sustainable development through the delivery of various types and scales of projects. You will have the opportunity to work within a range of planning regimes across the UK (including national, major and local applications), helping our clients efficiently meet their objectives in a safe, environmentally, and socially sustainable manner.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • A relevant degree and membership of a relevant professional institution.
  • More than two years of experience in environmental consultancy or a relevant industry sector.
  • Expertise in environmental impact assessments (EIAs) across various project sectors.
  • Good understanding of the UK planning system (e.g. Town & Country Planning and DCO regimes).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.
