POSITION OVERVIEW

You’re all about compliance and making sure every effort is made to meet compliance objectives and protection of the environment. You work well under pressure to deliver on objectives and meet deadlines while not losing site of important details and managing a large portfolio of complex projects. You’re collaborative and engage stakeholders early on to ensure compliance requirements are understood and addressed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Support our Company and various project teams in managing environmental risk, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, corporate policies and industry best practices.
  • Oversee environmental consultants hired to help manage environmental risk and engage with internal and external stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Oversee operations and projects to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, FortisBC Standards, and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide advice on identifying environmental risks, management practices, legal requirements, and protection measures.
  • Leads the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Environmental Management System and environmental programs.
