Job Description Environmental Program Manager The role reports to the Director of Environmental and is responsible for developing, and managing Clean Earth's Environmental systems, programs and processes. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This includes, but is not limited to: 1. Management of Responsible Recycling Certification for designated facilities 2. Managing and maintaining the Clean Earth Disposal Vendor approved facility list 3. Conduct online and in-person compliance assessments and audits of disposal/recycling vendors to ensure risk-minimization 4. Coordinate the overall scheduling and tracking of audits for all disposal/recycling vendors, including vendor database management 5. Coordinate with the various stakeholders in the approval process to add or review vendors 6. Analyzing and evaluating opportunities to expand the use of our environmental management system 7. Development and implementation of environmental policies and programs 8. Perform comprehensive environmental audits with internal compliance team, in conjunction with local and state regulators, and by client representatives 9. Develop/participate Standard Operating Procedures for compliance with environmental permits 10. Travel as necessary to meet the demands of projects. Qualifications Qualifications Experience, Knowledge, and Education Requirements Education and Technical Requirements · Bachelor's degree required preferably in Environmental Science · 5-10 years’ experience of Environmental Compliance in a manufacturing or waste management environment required · Knowledge of EPA, state and DOT regulations and practices Skills Needed · Experience completing State/Federal/Local environmental compliance reporting Communication and Leadership Skills · Solid communication, problem-solving and leadership skills · Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines. · Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions · Public speaking skills Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: · Must be willing to travel at least 50% of time · Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc. · Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled. · Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis. · Must be able to sit for long periods of time. · Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
