Description

Job Title: Environmental Representative Location: Houma, LA Position Overview: The Environmental Representative responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste; managing the air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities: Implement environmental policies, procedures, and plans. Deliver environmental management and compliance awareness training. Perform internal inspections to verify adherence to federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies. Assist with external audits conducted by regulatory agencies. Support regulatory reporting requirements, water and waste sampling, and monitoring efforts. Waste collection, storage, inspections, and transport (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, industrial solid, special waste, tires, sewage/biosolids). Air program implementation including Title V permit requirements, blasting and painting controls, and VOC Housekeeping Plan. Water program implementation with Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC/SPC) Plan, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), inspections, and wastewater permit requirements. Assists facility and corporate HSE personnel in carrying out various environmental duties. Qualifications: A degree in Environmental Science or related field or a minimum of two (2) years working experience in Environmental compliance. EMT, First Responder and First Aid Training are a plus. Skills and Abilities: General knowledge of environmental practices and procedures. Capable of monitoring/controlling procedures on-site. Highly motivated, proficient in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.), Oracle experience a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or with a team.
