As part of our expanding Iberian Environmental Restoration (ER) team, you will collaborate with multinational clients and contribute to technically challenging and impactful projects. Your responsibilities will include both fieldwork and office-based tasks throughout the full project lifecycle. Field activities cover subsoil investigation and remediation, such as supervising drilling works, conducting soil and groundwater sampling, and overseeing remediation processes using various in-situ advanced technologies. Office tasks range from interpreting technical information and preparing comprehensive reports to collaborating in project management activities. Role Accountabilities As an Environmental Consultant, you will actively participate in every phase of environmental subsoil investigation and remediation projects. Your responsibilities will encompass both fieldwork and office-based activities, including: Fieldwork: Conducting subsoil investigations at industrial sites in compliance with the ISO 17020 standard. Planning and organizing fieldwork logistics to ensure efficient project execution. Supervising drilling operations and the installation of monitoring wells, with a strong focus on technical quality and Health & Safety standards. Collecting soil and groundwater samples and managing them in accordance with strict Quality Assurance protocols. Carrying out hydrogeological and environmental testing to support site assessments. Office-Based Tasks: Coordinating and managing all aspects of fieldwork, ensuring smooth communication between project teams. Maintaining accurate records and logs of field activities. Interpreting technical data and contributing to the preparation of project reports, under the guidance of the project manager. Qualifications & Experience To succeed in this role, you should bring: A degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), Geology, or other environmental-related disciplines (e.g., Chemistry, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering). At least 2-3 years of experience working on soil and groundwater contamination projects. A high level of commitment to project delivery and client satisfaction. A valid driver's license. Solid command of spoken and written English. Additional skills and qualifications that will be positively valued: Familiarity with the ISO 17020 standard. Basic training in occupational Health & Safety (minimum 60 hours of official training; “recurso preventivo”). Strong team-working abilities, proactive attitude, problem-solving and communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail and quality. Why Arcadis?
