Description
Support the facility’s environmental, health and safety (EH&S) policies and programs. Coordinates organizational, regulatory, and governmental data collection and reporting requirements.     Essential Functions: * Provides EHS direction and assistance to ensure the safety and health of Hendrickson personnel * Administration of the plant’s EHS policies, programs, and procedures * Key driver to achieve total OSHA, EPA, IDEM, and VPP compliance * Responsible for compiling environmental regulatory reports and other information * Handles discharge compliance and certification matters * Compiles and submits air permit documents * Manage safety audits, accident investigations, and industrial hygiene matters * Maintain key performance indicators as set by the organization’s Health and Safety Excellence Team * Maintain safety dashboard that tracks EHS metrics and events * Assist in Workers’ Compensation case management * Prepare EHS communications for education and awareness * Monitors logs pertaining to usage of paints, solvents, and filters * Conducts oversight of the handling, storage, and disposal of various items * Performs checks of scrap metal and waste barrels * Inventories contents of spill cabinets and kits * Monitors and reports on stormwater effects * Monitors preventive maintenance of exhaust systems   Education and Training: * Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Industrial Engineering * Three or more years of experience administering health and safety activities within a manufacturing setting. Environmental compliance experience, desired   Minimum Qualification: * Demonstrated experience in upgrading environmental, health, and safety programs * Strong interpersonal and communication skills that include both one on one communication and group communication * Ability to lead and deliver training in group settings * Ability to travel to other company locations on occasion * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)  Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
