Environmental Scientist / Industrial HygienistLocation: Malvern, PA (Hybrid)
A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist / Industrial Hygienist to join its team in Malvern, PA. This mid-level position offers a motivated professional the opportunity to work in a dynamic small business environment, where both field and office responsibilities are integral to the role.
This position is ideal for someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to meaningful environmental health and safety projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Current certifications and training preferred for:
  • Philadelphia Asbestos Project Inspector (
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • Asbestos AHERA Inspector / Project Monitor
  • Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor
  • EPA Lead Dust Sampling Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in one or more of the following: asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality (IAQ), mold, water intrusion investigations, industrial hygiene, or facility assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field data documentation tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct asbestos inspections, lead-based paint surveys, and indoor air quality (IAQ) and mold investigations, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.
  • Perform field sampling for hazardous materials and complete proper chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Document site conditions thoroughly, including field notes, photographs, temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content readings.
  • Prepare accurate, concise field reports and inspection documentation based on survey findings and project scope.
  • Maintain and build positive working relationships with clients, team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
