Position Title: Environmental Scientist (Air Specialist)
Customer: Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division
Location: Crane, IN
Remote Work: Onsite daily; however, we do allow occasional remote work

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Provide overall environmental compliance support, with an emphasis on air permitting and compliance. Conduct air emission inventories, prepare permit applications, and ensure compliance with state and federal air regulations. Support environmental audits, inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping. Assist in other areas of environmental compliance as needed, such as hazardous waste, water, and natural/cultural resources.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Candidate will have:

• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, preferably with air programs.
• Experience preparing air permit applications and compliance reports.
• Experience conducting inspections and audits.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Candidates must be a resident of the Crane, IN area or willing to relocate.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
