POSITION OVERVIEW
Join Sutherland Shire Council in this part time temporary opportunity as Environmental Scientist - Projects, and play an integral part of our Environmental Science & Policy Unit. Within this role you will focus on developing and implementing policies, programs, and strategies that safeguard the beautiful natural landscape we have within the Sutherland Shire. You will provide scientific expertise, manage consultants, and support various environmental projects.
This role requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to analyse and report on complex environmental issues. You will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the unit and mentor junior staff.
