Description

Resource Options is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist (3-8years). In this role, you will conduct environmental assessments and response actions, while working closely with Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs), clients, and local/state agencies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical writing and field experience, capable of both independent work and team collaboration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–10 years of relevant experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
  • Proficiency in field data collection, environmental sampling, and site inspection.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience constructing phase 1 and 2 report writing
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, rain, or snow.
    Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight on environmental projects and conduct site inspections
  • Lead assignments involving research, data collection, field studies, GIS, calculations, and project file management in support of MCP compliance.
  • Document hypotheses, methodologies, and rationale clearly for peer review and future use.
  • Collect and record field data, supervise drilling activities, sample environmental media, and contribute to technical report preparation.
  • Apply technical principles in compliance with client, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Conduct self QA/QC reviews before submitting work for internal peer review.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and participate in regular team meetings and individual check-ins.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff; may supervise junior engineers or scientists on specific project tasks.
