Employment Type: Part time Shift: Evening Shift Description: EVS Associate - Part Time Evening Shift at Nazareth Hospital 30 hrs/wk must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed Environmental Services Associate Schedule: Evening – 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (with every other weekend commitment) Location: Philadelphia, PA Department: Environmental Services Reports to: Manager Operations, Environmental Services Position Purpose: Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an Environmental Services Associate to join our team! What You Will Do: Collects and transport refuse from individual containers. Cleans and relines individual refuse containers with plastic bags. Collects refuse from high use areas multiple times if needed. Completes terminal cleaning upon patient discharge. Follows 10-step process (routine and discharge). Polishes metal or other bright surfaces. Cleans horizontal and vertical surfaces that collect dust – cleans from top down. Cleans tops of windows, door frames and other high places using ladder when necessary. Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures (toilets, showers, urinals). Replaces items such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper. Spot cleans walls and windows, washes walls and ceilings. Responds promptly during urgent/emergency situations. Follows 4 step process to clean floors and carpets. Mop floors as needed, using wet floor signs. Vacuums and spot cleans carpets. Follows MSDS guidelines. Safely utilizes equipment. Takes broken equipment out of service and notifies manager. Able to locate and demonstrate appropriate use of personal protective equipment and safety equipment such as gloves, gowns, masks/eye shields Minimum Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalency (preferred) Must be organized, self-directed and able to work independently, must demonstrate customer service skills. Mechanical aptitude desirable.
