Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital Provide operational support to the Environmental Services Team leader to ensure high standards of cleaning, great patient experience and positive culture. Support the caregivers in environmental services by role modelling best practice and positive culture, coaching and supporting the caregivers. The Position: Promote and role model a strong service excellence culture to support the Mission of SJGHC. Promote safe, efficient and cost-effective work practices. Maintain the highest levels of personal presentation, customer interaction, communication and teamwork. Conduct audits in accordance with established procedures. Assist with rostering and filling shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave. Lead and provide support for teams Address incorrect practices and poor behaviour and escalate serious performance matters to the Environmental Services Team leader. Assist with the training of new caregivers and provide ongoing coaching and training to team members. Support and assist Environmental Services Team leader in implementing change and business improvement projects. Promote safe, efficient and cost-effective work practices and assist with the monitoring of established performance indicators. Provide high quality cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital in accordance with cleaning protocols and procedures. Maintain a high standard of customer service through friendliness, speed and efficiency. Report any maintenance issues and tag out unsafe equipment in line with established procedures. Remove soiled linen and rubbish from designated areas in accordance with cleaning protocols and procedures. You will have significant experience in cleaning in acute hospitals or similar roles and the ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good organisational skills. To succeed you will have a commitment to customer service and an understanding of and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.
